Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship Program
Funded by the Government of Japan

ADB-JSP @ 20: "Shaping Future Leaders in Asia and the Pacific"

Qualified
citizens of developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank
(ADB), who intend to pursue postgraduate studies in economics,
management, science and technology, and other development- related
fields, are invited to apply for scholarships under the Asian
Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program.

Upon
successful completion of the graduate program, the scholars are
expected to return to their countries and contribute to its
socioeconomic development. Scholar-ships are awarded for
graduate studies at designated institutions in courses of study
approved by ADB. The Program especially welcomes qualified women
applicants who have limited financial means to obtain university
education.

dari Embassy, akan mendapatkan bantuan pembelian tiket

Pemerintah cq Depag RI. Adapun tiket kembali Khartoum-Jakarta ditanggung
oleh peserta..

Beasiswa untuk Pelajar dan Mahasiswa

Yayasan Amal Abadi Beasiswa orangtua Bimbing Terpadu (YAAB-ORBIT) adalah lembaga non profit yang menyelenggarakan program beasiswa bantuan biaya studi kepada pelajar/mahasiswa yang berprestasi namun memiliki kendala dalam biayai pendidikannya.



Jumlah beasiswa bantuan biaya studi perbulan selama 1 tahun;

1. Jenjang SMU/sederajat sebesar Rp. 60.000

2. Jenjang Akademi/S-1 sebesar Rp. 100.000



Syarat-syarat Menjadi Penerima beasiswa YAAB-ORBIT adalah sbb :

1) Memiliki keterbatasan dalam biaya pendidikan

2) Tidak sedang menerima beasiswa dari lembaga pemberi beasiswa lain

3) Minimal duduk di kelas II SMU/sederajat dengan rata-rata nilai raport persemester minimal 7.00

4) Minimal duduk di semester III dengan IPK minimal 2.75 (jurusan eksakta) dan IPK minimal 3.00 (jurusan non eksakta)

5) Aktif di kegiatan Intra dan atau ektra sekolah/kampus

6) Bersedia memenuhi kewajiban serta berperan aktif dalam kegiatan YAAB-ORBIT Pusat maupun YAAB-ORBIT Perwakilan di daerah masing-masing



Cara Menjadi Penerima Beasiswa YAAB-ORBIT adalah dengan MENGIRIM SURAT PERMOHONAN berisi profile pelamar, latarbelakang & kondisi ekonomi keluarga, alasan pengajuan beasiswa dan dilengkapi dokumen-dokumen sbb :

1) Formulir beasiswa yang telah diisi lengkap dan disyahkan/di- stempel oleh pihak sekolah/kampus (Formulir bagian belakang)

2) Foto copy raport/IP per-semester (mulai dari sem. 1 s.d sem. terakhir diterima)

3) Surat keterangan kurang mampu dari Rt setempat

4) Foto copy KTP (kartu pelajar, jika belum memiliki KTP)

5) Foto copy KK (kartu keluarga)

6) Slip gaji (jika orangtua PNS/Karyawan Swasta) atau surat keterangan penghasilan orangtua yang disahkan oleh RT, bisa digabung dengan surat keterangan tidak mampu, (jika orangtua buruh lepas/wiraswasta dll).

7) Foto terbaru ukuran 3 x 4 sebanyak 3 lembar

8) Data-data yang dapat menjadi penunjang antara lain : foto copy sertifikat pelatihan, piagam penghargaan dll.



Seleksi penerima beasiswa YAAB-ORBIT 2008/2009 dilakukan oleh:

250 Scholarships (Full + Partial fee) for Research Students, University of Huddersfield, UK

As part of a major expansion in research activity, the University of Huddersfield UK has announced the immediate availability of 125 fee-waiver scholarships for postgraduate research students with a further 125 to be made available in 2009-2010. The scholarships are available to UK/EU and International students.

Deadline: End of academic year 2009-10

The scholarships are available in all Schools, for all areas of research, and are open to Home/EU and International applicants who lack funding but have outstanding academic merit and excellent research potential.
The scheme supports only full-time postgraduate research students and is not available for undergraduate or postgraduate TAUGHT courses.
Each year 75 of the scholarships will waive 100% of tuition fees and 50 scholarships will waive 50% of tuition fees.
Applicants must be able to fund all living costs and any bench fees (specific research costs).

Scholarship Deadline
The scheme will remain open until the end of academic year 2009-10.

Enrolment Dates
The University considers research degree applications throughout the year but enrolment takes place on the nearest working day to the following dates every year:

1 April
1 July
1 October

Press release Tim Olimpiade Fisika Indonesia
Indonesia meraih peringkat 2 dunia dalam Olimpiade Fisika Internasional

Tim
Olimpiade Fisika Indonesia sukses meraih 2 medali emas, 2 medali perak
dan 1 medali perunggu dalam Olimpiade Fisika Internasional (IPhO) ke-39
di Hanoi, Vietnam. IPhO yang diselenggarakan dari pada tanggal 20-29
juli ini diikuti oleh 82 negara dengan jumlah peserta mencapai 376
peserta. Siswa-siswa Indonesia yang meraih medali adalah sebagai
berikut:

1. Kevin Winata (SMAK BPK Penabur 1 Jakarta) - medali emas dengan skor 40,73
2. Rudy Handoko Tanin (SMA Sutomo 1 Medan) - medali emas dengan skor 33,30
3. Thomas Aquinas Nugraha Budi (SMAN 78 Jakarta) - medali perak dengan skor 27,60
4. Adam Badra Cahaya (SMAN 1 Jember) - medali perak dengan skor 27,48
5. Tyas Kokasih (SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang) - medali perunggu dengan skor 21,20

Dengan perolehan skor 40,73, Kevin membawa Indonesia berada di
peringkat kedua setelah China. Soal teori yang diperlombakan tahun ini
sangat sulit sehingga sebagian besar siswa tidak berhasil menyelesaikan
test. Selain itu, Kevin sebenarnya nyaris meraih penghargaan the best experiment dengan skor eksperimen 19,75 dari skor maksimum 20. Sangat disayangkan
setelah sesi moderasi, salah satu siswa Taiwan berhasil meraih poin
sedikit lebih tinggi daripada Kevin.

Perolehan ini sudah
sesuai dengan target dari Prof. Yohanes Surya Ph.D, selaku pimpinan
TOFI. Dalam acara pelepasan tim oleh Prof. Suyanto, Ph.D selaku
Direktur Jenderal Manajemen Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Depdiknas
pada tanggal 9 juli lalu, TOFI menargetkan 2 medali emas. Dengan
capaian ini, maka tim Indonesia kembali meneruskan tradisi emas di
olimpiade fisika internasional yang telah dimulai semenjak tahun 2002.

Rombongan Indonesia akan kembali ke tanah air pada tanggal 29 malam.
Tim Indonesia memberangkatkan 5 siswa didampingi 2 pimpinan tim dan 3
staf lainnya.
Pimpinan tim terdiri dari Hendra Kwee, Ph.D, dan Dr.
Kamsul Abraha, sedangkan ketiga staf lainnya adalah Muhammad Hikam,
Yudistira Virgus dan Winson Tanputraman.

Program persiapan
Tim Olimpiade Fisika Indonesia merupakan hasil kerjasama Yayasan TOFI
dengan Departemen Pendidikan Nasional, dan juga didukung oleh
Kementrian Koordinator Bidang Kesejahteraan Rakyat.

AusAID Scholarship Applications have been extended until the 15th

Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines

The Heinz School is committed to making a graduate education
affordable for talented students. No separate application is
necessary. Students who note in the application for admission that
they would like to be considered for financial aid will be
automatically considered for any applicable scholarship opportunity.
Examples of scholarships include:
Carnegie Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships

Carnegie Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships are funded by the
Australian Government to support a limited number of students from
countries where Australia has a bilateral aid program, to study at
the university's Heinz School in Adelaide, Australia. These
scholarships are available to full time students.

Scholarship benefits include full tuition, return economy airfares, a
contribution to living expenses, and basic medical insurance.
Applicants must satisfy both AusAID's general eligibility criteria
and the specific criteria established for their country of
citizenship.

A detailed listing of eligible countries, criteria (general
eligibility and country specific), and scholarship benefits can be

Applications for the January 2009 intake are now being accepted (the
closing date for AusAid applications is the 30/06/08.) Carnegie
Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships are only available to students
who have already been offered a place at Carnegie Mellon University.

MSPPM Scholarships

MSPPM Scholarships are merit based awards available to either full or
part time students.
South Australian Government Scholarships

Scholarships covering a significant portion of tuition are available.
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants will meet Carnegie
Mellon's admission requirements. Apply at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=cmu-spp and answer `yes' when you are asked
if you want to be considered for `financial aid.'

Australian students are also eligible for a FEE-HELP tuition loan,
which can be used to meet the residual cost of tuition not covered by
scholarship.

MSIT Scholarships

part time students.
South Australian Government Scholarships

Scholarships covering a significant portion of tuition are available.
